TiE Women Entrepreneurs (TWE) is a quintessential TiE program that challenges Australian Women Entrepreneurs think differently about how to scale their business and make it investable. It provides an introduction on how to bring consciousness into their entrepreneurship and exposes them to a global network of entrepreneurs and investors.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

TwE is aimed at women entrepreneurs with existing businesses:

– Female-founded or co-founded startups ONLY. (The opportunity to pitch will only be provided to the female founder/co-founder).- Female co-founder(s) must have minimum 33% equity in the company.

– Companies in business for less than seven years only at the time of application (Company registration after Jan 1, 2017)

– Preference to startups raising funds

– Idea Stage Startups do not qualify for screening

Note: TiE Women reserves the right to take a decision regarding applications to further the cause of the TiE Women mission.

KEY DATES

Part 1. TiE Melbourne Chapter Run (15 June – 25 July 2024)

June 15, 2024 –  Applications close for TWE

July 4, 2024 – Pitching an investable business

July 11, 2024 – Conscious Entrepreneurship

July 25, 2024 – TWE Chapter Finale

Part 2. TiE Global Run 

A. For the participant chosen as TiE Melbourne’s representative for the global program:

 

August 15 to Dec 1, 2024 – Participate in a series of masterclasses, knowledge series, between, run by iconic global entrepreneurs.

December 11-12, 2024 – Opportunity to pitch their business and a chance to win US$50,000 cash prize or the runner-up prize of US$25,000.

 

B. For all other participants: opportunity to participate in ongoing series of monthly ‘Open Mic Nights’ where they can present their business as well as hear other women entrepreneurs presenting theirs to an audience of investors and experienced entrepreneurs who give useful, non-judgemental feedback.

Applications are open from 15th May until 15th June 2024.  Applications are free for TiE Members; there is a fee of $225 for each participant.
